Two things..... The second leg, Sheila Echols slows down a tad bit near the handoff to Flo. And the second thing..... Flo pats Evelyn Ashford on the ass after the handoff, which kinda jams her baton hand , forcing her to adjust and squeeze the baton. To this day I still think in some way that little pat shot a little extra life into that last leg somehow.

She starts stutter stepping at the end cuz she sprinting the first 350 but instead of being tired after she finished, she was able to easily keep jogging for a victory lap. There is documentation of Koch taking drugs in the 80s. Some athletes were giving drugs and told they were just supplements or vitamins
